How to get rid of spiders organically
by: Larry, Webmaster

Spiders in a garage are very different from spiders in a garden. In the garage spiders are not generally useful but in a garden they will eat all kinds of bugs that will eat your plants.

The 'bad' spiders in gardens are spider mites that cling onto your plants and spin tiny little webs between leaves and they will slowly kill your plant. They are really small and very hard to see. For these spiders I'd recommend any of the organic pest spray recipes on this site.

So how do you distinguish between 'bad' and 'good' garden spiders? My 'rule of thumb' is that if you can easily see the spider then it is a good spider to have in the garden.

As for larger spiders in the garage these organic sprays may drive them away also. They are certainly worth a try...
