What Kind of Nutrient Solution I Should Use ?

I am a beginner in Hydroponics. I wish to build a small hydroponics sytem in my balcony (limited space). Please give me advice which system I should use at limited space and what kind of Nutrient Solution should be used. Thank for your advice. Best regards. Bill from Hong Kong

Apartment hydroponics

An apartment hydroponics system must be efficient and compact as well as clean.

I would suggest a container system you manually water, a wick system where a 'wick' will draw water up to the plant from a reservior or an automatic ebb/flo system.

Personally I like ebb/flow systems. Equip the pump with a simple timer and it becomes automatic and requires low maintenance.

Just watch the pH of nutrient water and change it every 2 weeks once set up.

If you choose to go with an ebb/flow system I would suggest building the system featured in the free plans on this site.
