PVC Ebb and Flow System
by: Larry

The PVC ebb and flow system on this site's front page was a ready-made system complete with pump, nutrient container and pvc system purchased from hydroponicsonline.com

It is called HydroRons's 11 plant system. I bought it a few years ago when I first started hydroponics as a hobby and I still use it.

Although a little 'pricey' in my opinion, it is a solid, workable system that will last you for years.

It's basically a simple ebb/flow system with each plant resting in a 16 oz plastic soda cup filled with some kind of growing medium. The cups are riddled with holes to let water in and out and merely sit in the cup assembly of the pvc system.

As the pump pushes nutrient solution into the system, solution rises until it hits the overflow pipe and drains back into the nutrient container. And the overflow level is at the same height as the top of the growing medium in the cups.

This system works for me and I would recommend it if you are willing to pay the money for it...

By the way, I do not receive any kind of remuneration if you happen to buy the system from them...
