Sterilizing & Washing Pea gravel media

Sanitizing growing medium is a good idea but I would not necessarily use hydrogen peroxide because it will not clean out 100% of bacteria.

Bleach can be used at 1 tablespoon per gallon of water with a 20 minute soak, just be sure to rinse really well. Bleach can be rinsed with water which will eliminate almost all residue.

Have you thought of merely heating your pea stone in an oven over 250 degrees fahrenheit? This would also sanitize without adding chemicals into the mix.
