Voles are tiny rodents that pretty much look like mice. In fact they are often mistaken for mice.

The 'down-side' of voles is the fact that they have enormous appetites and will eat most of a small plant; roots, tubers, succulent leaves and stems...

In other words, you do not want them around your garden.
