Obtaining Hydroponic Nutrient in Mexico

(ensenada, Mexico)

It was mentioned that the ingredients for the hydroponic nutrient liquids are commonly found. WHERE does one get the stuff? In Mexico that kind of thing is very hard to come by. Thank you.

Buying Hydroponic Nutrients in Mexico
by: Larry, Webmaster

First of all I have no experience buying anything in Mexico but after searching a few hydroponics stores online in the USA and the UK, I see that many ship internationally...

You would probably have to buy nutrients online if you are after a commercially made nutrient otherwise you do have the option to 'go' organic and mix your own from common ingredients.

Such recipes are elsewhere on this site; my favorite consisting of seaweed extract, bone meal and fish emulsion.

As for shipping internationally, many companies balk at the restrictions and what they have to go through to ship outside of their respective country.

And don't forget that any kind of fertilizer contains phosphorous which has been used in illegal explosives so importing fertilizer into Mexico may be harder than with a normal item.

But for a commercial fertilizer you would have to get it on-line somewhere it looks like.
