When you mention 'growing hydroponics' I assume you are referring to plant growth. The life cycle of a plant is the same whether you use hydroponics or not except hydroponic plants may produce more 'fruit'.

This is due to the fact that hydroponic plants can obtain all nutrients needed whereas a 'dirt garden' plant may not get some needed nutrients because soil becomes packed down.
