How often during veg. stage should the tray be flooded?

Vegetative stage flooding

I do not flood any more or less during the vegetative stage than for other stages.

Remember that in nature nothing is certain; there will be frequent droughts and frequent floods all of which plants have pretty much adapted to.

If the plant requires more nutrient solution to produce vegetables then it will automatically take what is needed as long as you keep the substrate or growing medium damp between flood cycles.
