Diatemaceous Earth

I have used DE for pest control for years. It comes in food grades. It is a mechanical death for crawling insects- like walking through ankle deep razor blades. Sound fun?

Diatemaceous Earth are very small fossilized diatoms, a hard shell algae are dry and porous.

They can be used as an insecticide in that they will dehydtate and kill bugs that walk through them.

It's not harmful to humans and comes in several food grades so is used anywhere from deworming humans and animals to food supplements for cattle.
