Good question Shalini! Both garden types will attract the same pests except the hydroponics garden will have fewer pests, and disease for that matter. Most pests reach a plant by traveling on the ground and in a hydroponics garden the growing medium is generally too wet for this to happen...therefore fewer pests. As for pest control it is the same for both garden types. If using harsh chemicals care must be taken not to accidentally introduce these chemicals into the nutrient solution. I would personally opt for a homemade solution to spray on the pests or I would hatch the larvae of bugs that eat the pests on the infected plants.
